Whether you are at U of T to work or to study, one thing is for certain, caffeine is the lifeblood of the academic world. This is why we have found the best coffee shops near U of T to help you stay on your A game!
Café Reznikoff located on the Main Floor, 75 St George St.
Café Reznikoff is right in the middle of campus, and is named after the University’s most famous ghost, Ivan Reznikoff, a stone mason who (as legend has it) was killed on campus by another stone mason over a love triangle gone wrong. Seating is available for those who want to go socialize, work, or just relax. The menu is loaded with sandwiches, baked goods, snacks, and a whole list of beverages, including fair trade coffee. This location is perfect if you are wanting to grab coffee on campus.
B Espresso Bar located in the basement of Toronto’s Royal Conservatory of Music, 273 Bloor Street West.
B Espresso Bar is a beautiful place to sit and enjoy a coffee and a great café for hosting meetings. It is easy to access through Philosopher’s walk and is just behind the ROM. B Espresso bar offers a variety of handmade beverages, and some very delicious snacks that go well with your hot drink (the peanut butter brownie is a favorite).
L’Espresso Bar Mercurio located at 321 Bloor Street West.
L’Espresso Bar is quite beautiful, their drinks are not only aesthetically pleasing, but incredibly tasty as well. It is quite a large café compared to most, and has a great food menu as well from sandwiches to hot meals, there is guaranteed to be something to meet your craving. If you spend a lot of time at U of T, L’Espresso is a must! And this one is definitely recommended for a coffee date!
Now, we don’t claim that Starbucks is the best coffee in the area, but, we don’t want any death threats from coffee addicted students looking to get their Starbucks on! If you need your Starbucks and you’re on campus there are two that you can get to. There is one located in Robarts Library (in the cafeteria). There is also a Starbucks located at 205 College St.
Moonbean Coffee located at 30 St. Andrew Street.
Moonbean is located in the heart of Kensington Market, offering high quality coffee in a hip yet welcoming setting. This shop is great for the studier who just needs to get out of the house for a bit or for the group project meeting place.
